Court Network win NAB Volunteer Organisation of the Year Award
Court Network has won the National Australia Bank Volunteer Organisation of the Year award (Category: Large Organisation, Victoria).
More than 300 organisations entered the awards.
The judges particularly liked Court Network’s:
-
Innovative projects such as the Blue Jacket and Court Hospitality programs in the Melbourne Magistrates’ court
-
An increase in the number of people we assist (24% more court users were assisted this year compared to last year), and
-
The successful migration of our service to Queensland courts.
We are extremely proud to receive the award which has been achieved through the commitment, dedication and hard work of our volunteers, management and staff.
This is an outstanding result that has been recognised by a panel of independent judges throughout Australia.
Congratulations to everyone involved. We look forward to building on our success in the year ahead!
VCAT Launch
Late in 2006 Court Network launched its service in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
A team of energetic and dedicated volunteers assist members of the public arriving at VCAT for a range of hearings and other matters.
The service has been very well received by key stakeholders. Court Network plays an important role in providing information and support to all those in the court system.
We are very excited to be a part of the brand new VCAT centre.
