Her Excellency Ms Quentin Bryce AC,
Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia.
The Governor-General was affiliated with Court Network in her previous role as Governor of Queensland in the launch of the service in Brisbane in 2008. Court Network delited with her involvement in a new national role.
The 24th Governor of Queensland, Ms Quentin Bryce, AC., has recently joined Court Network as a Patron.
Ms Bryce has had a fulfilling career as a lawyer, academic, senior public officer and contributor to a range of community organisations.
Some of her former roles include Director of Human Rights and the Equal Opportunity Commission (Queensland), founding Chair and Chief Executive of the National Childcare Accredited Council and Lecturer in Law School for the University of Queensland.
We look forward to benefiting from Ms Bryce’s vast experience and her support as a Patron of Court Network.
Queensland Chief Judge Patsy Wolfe
At the 2008 Queensland Court Network Conference, Chief Judge of the District court Patsy Wolfe spoke about accepting her new role as patron of Court Network. “You are the court angels,” she said to the 40 volunteers present, “you have made the courts so much more humane and the court experience far more bearable for so many people.”
Court Network has been operating at the higher courts building for just over twelve months and has recently opened a Blue Jacket Information Service at the ground floor entry to the court.
The Chief Judge accepted her role as Patron in October 2008. Patsy Wolfe was called to the Queensland Bar in 1986 and the District Court in 1995. She has been Chief Judge since 1999 and has served on numerous committees and enquiries and was instrumental in bringing the Court Network service to the Brisbane higher courts.
